Brishti Bhunia
Art practicer
I’m Brishti Bhunia from West Bengal. My approach is rooted in material exploration, layering, and the transformation of everyday textile materials into a contemporary visual language. I am interested in the relationship between transparency and concealment. By gradually layering, stitching, and manipulating the fabric, I allow the figure to emerge and disappear within the material. Through this process, I aim to create works that are visually delicate yet conceptually layered, exploring identity, memory, vulnerability, aspiration, and the unseen realities of middle-class life.
